As an audio producer, you need your content to be available to as many listeners as possible, whether it’s through Stitcher, Apple Podcasts, or the latest app. But what about through your own website?

The Audioboom embed player enables your listeners to interact with your audio directly on your website. Using the embed player means you’re empowered to deliver your content via your most important online platform. It’s one of the easiest ways to stay in control of your content and get more listens.

We designed the player to be easy to use and to make your content look great. Our player gets embedded into thousands of sites every day, from partners such as Casefile Podcast…

The players are universal and can be embedded on any website. Here’s how to make the most of them.

How to embed the player on your website

For every piece of audio on Audioboom, you can get an embed player (as well as a playlist player for an entire podcast). It’s easy!

On the episode page, you’ll see an Embed button:

Click on the button, and you will see your embed code which you can copy and paste:

Detailed instructions are also available here.

Embed a single episode or a podcast player

You have two recommended options when it comes to embedding a player on your website:

1. Embed individual shows / clips / episodes into different parts of your site

Each clip uploaded to Audioboom has a unique embed code. If you’re writing about a show, you can embed the show into the article about it. If you want to use a section of the show to illustrate a specific section, simply cut it out, upload, and then its embed player.

Here’s an example of how episodes from different true crime podcasts can be embedded directly into an article. Without needing to navigate to a new page, listeners can preview shows right in their browser:

2. Embed your channel player into your website

Every podcast on Audioboom has its own player that you can embed straight into your site. It updates automatically each time you upload new content to your podcast, so it’s great to feature on your homepage or in a prominent location where listeners can access your library.

King Falls AM directs listeners right to their audio with a player embedded on the homepage of their site, along with their Twitter feed:

Optimize your embed player

Customize your embed player with a unique image. It will form the entire background of your player so potential listeners get a quick visual understanding of what the episode or clip is about. Our data shows that audio that has an interesting or unique supporting image gets more plays.

Try these tips to make the players work even harder:

  • If your player(s) isn’t on your homepage, make sure there’s a link in your navigation menu or somewhere obvious that takes visitors to your site straight to your audio
  • Feature embed players that showcase curated playlists of your audio content
  • Network with other podcasters and audio producers to share each other’s embed players
  • Create press releases around specific audio clips and send them — along with embed code — to journalists and publications
